The S. Charles Lee Papers at the UCLA Library, a collection of architectural drawings, blueprints, and photographs, is a unique portal to the cultural and architectural influences on the Los Angeles Historic Theater District. Due to the detailed nature of these documents, our team is able to digitally reconstruct not only the buildings as they stand today, but also as they were originally designed, including aspects that were proposed but never constructed. These three-dimensional models form the basis for virtual reality experiences in which users can explore the theaters through time and dive into what is known about them today.
